"The power of the tongue was always mightier than the sword." Rastafari you gave reason to truth. You gave life back to the youth. Power and sound for a righteous revolution. Igniting the spirit, a revelry against constitution. A path for healing and happiness. Equality is rooted in I n I humblebility is our dress. A Rastaman life was for I. Finding love again in nature a natural high. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Come follow JAH way and learn how to hold her. Rectify Zion." ^R.M

Welcome New Followers
Welcome to the Philosopher's stone. My blog has been running for the last year and a half. I have been a practicing Rastaman since I began this write. I have a love for music, writing, culture and God. The truth to this blog is to find the power of the people. Power is found through unity and ideal. Ultimately a unified ideal can begin a unified identity. Rastafari is a lot more then believing in the herb. It is a faith and a way of living. I have dedicated a lot of this blog to poetry and music. Wisdom is my true passion because it is a field of study that is never ending. I have touched on subjects that matter on ancient hermetic Egyptian wisdom which is the foundation of all world faith and Religion. The truth is that we live in a day in age of what which will begin to be a spiritual awakening. That we are spiritual beings that live a spiritual life. The power of the spirit can power a mind to find what one is called to in life. Spirituality is the power of all humanity. Rastafari is the teaching of all acceptance. That is the belief of a Rastaman. I am in transition with this blog and well my passion is to teach one day. I have yet to bring news source to my blog but decided to start to bring 3rd party source on this site to help gather more culture that involves what a Rasta really stands for. We are the the way of root living and the faith that teaches the system is corrupt. Enjoy reading some material that involves Rasta worldwide. One Love.

About the Edit Unto Your's
As they say in the Big Easy hey y'all . Little did I know that local lingo for New Orleans would become my renewed faith in understanding a new way of life. Big Easy as a sort of a Hakuna Matata lighter sense and page. My names Ryan and people call me Moke for a nick. Heavy in my dance & river days I went by Movement. I like them all. Never needed a Mohawk to rectify my will. Well anyways I just moved back to sunny San Diego after spending the last close to 3 years in Louisiana. Born and raised in San Diego private school the whole 9 yards and a Kaeding of a miss to a field goal. Did some time up in Chico, CA. Fun times, but was still searching on what I wanted to do in life. Dipped down south to get Bourbon dirty while looking to find my calling.. Right? If your going to do it you might as well do it right. Met some fun people, made some memories and actually grew up. Left a lovely girl behind, but hopefully one day we'll be back in mind. Moral of the story I finally found out something I was looking for. What was really going on and is it really 2014 already? I picked up my love for writing and let my thoughts take the wheel. As I was riding upon my journal I knew my higher self was leading me somewhere. Go figure out the roots to my roots. I had a revelation that their was one genre of music I had ventured in but not far enough. Reggae was making its way back to me and I began to remember my love of its simplicity but profound truth. Sure enough my writing was taking me there as well. Tired of the battle amongst Christianity and other world religions I turned to studying nature. Began self teaching Astrotheology and other hermetic wisdom. Then it dawned on me there was a lost world doctrine and way of life that emphasized that nature is the way. Rastafarian. Remembering its misconception of a youth's rebellion I always knew it held more than truth, pure truth. So here I am still dipping my toes in understanding the Rastaman's way knowing my hometown is the place to start. Identity had been important for many but many like myself gave up on what was being taught. The purpose that is driven through my blog is to find a commune in my generation's ideology and bring people back together through the power of spirituality and love for acceptance for one another. A recognition of the empowering One Love. One thing our world has lost touch of is the rooted key of the Rastaman way. That is living life through suppression and instilling self discipline. Wasn't this the path that all eastern and western religions insinuated as being the tool for enlightenment? Yes, but it got misconstrued through its complexity. Heigh-ho back to the roots we should go. So I invite you to follow my blog to begin to learn a lost way of life or to invite you to teach me a thing or two. It is time our generation spoke together through the power of unified identity. Time for a real campaign of change from the people as it should be and come. Time our entire nation legalized the plant that symbolized freedom. Sending Rastaman vibrations outwards for a revival of a Kingdom. Please feel free to add me on facebook Ryan Moquin

UPDATE AS OF 7/19/14 (PURPOSE DRIVEN MESSAGE)
Hey everybody. Sorry for lack of content the last past month I was actually locked up in jail. No need to worry I'm back here to stay and all is well. Anyways I had much time to write and foresee where I wanted to take this blog and in what direction. A lot of posts before were not thought out completely and expression of my emotion. So I took down some. But I have passed that haze and my writing will begin to show. I want this blog to be based on a 5 point structure.
1) To promote Rastafari Doctrine & Way of Life
2) To be a multimedia outlet for all arts combined
3) To promote discussion & eventually through forum
4) To bring together people spiritually
5) And most importantly promote world peace
Thank you for reading and hope you enjoy. In the near future I'm going to begin making videos so the poetry can be better understood. There is a lot of ancient philosophy and wisdom behind the influence of them.
Ok that is all for now. One Love.

Believing in Ideal
What is an ideal? Ideal is a set belief and standard to moral and virtue. Most Religions these days proclaim themselves off something called a doctrine. Doctrine is set of belief based on history that has been written over time and that proclaims a set standard for a belief system that bares reason and truth. Ideal is a point of perspective. A way of living life with virtue and moral. The Rastafari ideal is uplifted by a belief called livity. The uplifting of the spirit. Rastafari entails a way of enlightenment and a message that is true to its way, a message of pure acceptance. "Faith is taking the first step, even if you don't see the whole staircase."-Martin Luther King Jr. Faith is the beginning of finding ideal. It is putting one self to a mindset that says I believe this to be true. History holds many mysteries and well geography holds many cultures. Christianity has been taught and explained in many ways and interpretations for the years that have passed this story of God's beloved son and it has been taken many different ways. The truth to Christianity is that the story is held upon history, but many have yet to connect the dots on why this faith of world religion dominates other belief systems. He was the messiah to Christianity and a man called by his father to purify a way of living. Judaism was his religion of birth. But Christinaity was born after his death upon a cross. Rastafari is the belief of connecting both Judaism and Christianity together as shared faiths. Jews and Christians have not been able to gather faith together because of one man. The stipulation of Jesus being the the truth. Rastafari is more than just a teaching of acceptance. It is a teaching of love and teaching of respect. This blog has taken many courses and well my love for history and well wisdom will one day help gather a mindset of understanding what is the difference between ideal and a set faith. Ideal is Identity. So I could identify that I am a Rastaman. But my faith would lie under different religion and well being a Rasta would entail more faith than just good vibes. So please enjoy a new perspective that well one day can be overstood as looking upon people in the mind of equality and one love. The teaching I present will begin to set virtue and let people recognize they are all made in God's image. Life is a blessing, but a blessing in life it always was. Virtue is from the heart and the heart may only set virtue. Become identified is the truth to look for. We can begin to look at history to know it's truth. I have well gone many directions on this blog. But the truth to overstand is that Christinaity is the foundation to Rastafari. Rastafari is an evolution to teach peace to the people. Lets begin to gather attention to allow a teaching for peace. Rasta will become a way of recognition of one love in life.

Rastafari Rootzfest To Host High Times Jamaican World Cannabis Cup 2015
Rastafari Rootzfest To Host High Times Jamaican World Cannabis Cup 2015
WED AUG 26, 2015
Justice Ministry's Historic Exemption Clears Path For Competition
Rastafari Rootzfest organizers and High Times magazine have jointly announced that Rastafari Rootzfest will host the High Times 2015 Jamaican World Cannabis Cup in Negril on November 12th through 15th 2015.
Rastafari Rootzfest is a comprehensive, educational and well-organized event that celebrates Rastafari ideology, livity and culture, that tells the story of the Rastafari struggle for the legalization of ganja and celebrates the decriminalization of ganja in Jamaica. Rastafari Rootzfest is the first ganja-exempt event since Jamaican government legally recognized Rastafari Sacramental and Religious rights earlier this year.
“It's time to get up and stand up, stand up for what is right! Lets get up and stand up, time we all unite!” said Rastafarian elder and event organizer Ras Iyah V. “It is good that this government can recognize that I n I do have the right and am able to enjoy that right of herb as I n I Sacrament. Hail RasTafari!"
Earlier this year, the Jamaican Government amended its Dangerous Drug Act to finally recognize Rastafarian religious and sacramental rights to use ganja and also decriminalized the possession of up to two ounces of marijuana for adults including tourists. Last week, Jamaican Justice Minister Mark Golding granted Rastafari Rootzfest promoters an Exemption in Law that would protect event attendees from persecution. This paved the way for a four-day exposition that will include education and seminars, culture and commerce, art and music and, of course, ganja that will combine to highlight the deep roots and livity of the Rastafarian faith as well as the breathtaking developments within the worldwide cannabis community.
The event will be held in Long Bay Beach Park set along the popular Seven Mile Beach in Negril. Anybody under 18 years old will not be permitted to enter and this restriction will be enforced. Tickets and travel packages are On Sale Now here.
Rastafari Rootzfest's hosting of the High Times 2015 Jamaican World Cannabis Cup will include two competitions — a Jamaican Cannabis Cup and a World Cannabis Cup.
The High Times 2015 Jamaican Cannabis Cup portion of Rastafari Rootzfest will gather the best ganja from traditional farmers in each Jamaican parish and, applying the standards and practices acquired from more than a quarter-century of High Times Cannabis Cups competition, will qualify the wonderful enigma of Jamaican herb.
“We are very excited to finally get a good close look at the many varieties of Jamaican ganja from all over the island so we can pass the results along to our readers and to the world,” said High Times associate publisher Rick Cusick. The High Times 2015 Jamaican Cannabis Cup competition portion of Rastafari Rootzfest will only be open to Jamaican ganja grown exclusively by Jamaican farmers. The unique judging panels will include traditional Rastafarian experts as well as professional High Times cannasseurs.
The second cannabis-related contest of Rastafari Rootzfest will feature the High Times 2015 World Cannabis Cup competition, the historic culmination of 26 years of High Times Cannabis Cups held in Europe and the U.S. This contest will be conducted in the United States in October, and on the last day of the Rastafari Rootzfest, November 16, 2015, the results of the High Times 2015 World Cannabis Cup will be announced along with the winners of the 2015 Jamaican Cannabis Cup.
High Times has produced its signature competition each November in Amsterdam for 26 years. The Rastafari Rootzfest's hosting of High Times Jamaican World Cannabis in Negril effectively replaces that event.
His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I
Haile Selassie's full title in office was "His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, King of Kings of Ethiopia and Elect of God". Selassie was Emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974. The heir to a dynasty that traced its origins to the 13th century, and from there by tradition back to King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, Haile Selassie is a defining figure in Ethiopian and African history.

Confirmed: Church Of Cannabis Gets Recognition As A Religious Organization In Indiana
POLITICS
2
Indiana, a mid-western state of the United States of America known for its farmland, has officially recognized the Church of Cannabis as a legitimate religious body.
The church is said to have gotten the legitimacy following the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), which has allowed LGBT people to practice any religion of their choice without harassment and intimidation.
According to the RFRA, if you have a religion, the government will not impede on your right of that religion. It also states, that the government will openly profess that religion to the public.
The church was granted legitimacy on the 20th of April this year, and it is now “a visible religion for worshippers of Cannabis to congregate.” It held its first service on July 1, just one minute after the Religious Freedom Restoration Act took effect. Members of the church are called “Cannetarians”.
To boost the church’s activities, it is said the Internal Revenue Service in the state has granted the church tax exemption. This is because the church adheres to the characteristics of any other church, such as a distinct legal existence, a recognized creed, and regular congregations of its own.
“Somebody at the IRS loves us because we got it back in less than 30 days,” the church reportedly posted on its Facebook page.
The supreme leader of the church [the Grand Pooba], Bill Levin, revealed that when the church applied for legal status, it was granted by the state the same day the RFRA was signed.
As it stands now, the church is established as a religious corporation, and is recognized by law as The First Church of Cannabis Inc.
It is also said that cannabis is the church’s holy sacrament. The church’s tenets include love, equality, compassion and a prosperous way of life.
The church is also said to have raised over $15,000 in two months, with more than 700 backers on aGoFundMe campaign. The minimum donation for the campaign was appropriately $4.20. The money will be used to buy an existing church or build one with “Hempcrete,” a material similar to concrete that has hemp infused in the mixture.
According to the Plaid Zebra, Grand Pooba Levin plans to grow hemp, and adhere to a “Diety Dozen,” similar to a contemporary version of the 10 commandments, ranging from “Don’t be an asshole,” to “Do not be a ‘troll’ on the Internet,” to “Cannabis is our sacrament.” Levin believes that this church promotes love, equality, compassion and a prosperous way of life.
Levin also plans to set up an alcoholics anonymous and heroin counseling program, to help those suffering with addiction find a community within the church.
According to statistics, more than one million people legally use marijuana for medicinal purposes. Levin believes marijuana is “the Healing Plant,” and has stated that those who are members of his church embrace it with their whole heart and spirit.
Levin told MSNBC in an interview, “We are celebrating life, love, community involvement, and we are doing all the things that churches are supposed to do. Because we embrace the cannabis plant as our sacrament doesn’t mean we’re sad people.”
But despite the church being recognized publicly, cannabis is still illegal in Indiana. By state law, possession of cannabis is considered a misdemeanor, and can result in offenders receiving up to 6 months in jail or a fine of $1000.
Therefore, members of the church are not allowed to buy, sell or practice marijuana in the Indiana State.
